The year was 1962 - the World's Fair was in Seattle, but accross town in White Center, Frank Tonkin Sr. opened something equally (okay, almost) as impressive - his first Taco Time restaurant. Fifty years later, the same family and the same passion for fresh, delicious Mexican food still guides us. We're proud to be a Northwest institution, and we look forward to the next 50 years and beyond.We've been sourcing local since long before it was the popular thing to do. In fact, many of our ingredients come from Washington State. Our beef, tortillas and Mexi-Fries, all local. Our Cheddar cheese even comes from a little Washington town called Sunnyside (seriously - we couldn't make this stuff up).
